In this cinematic drama, light is energy rather than a tool for the representation of non-filmic objects; light as energy is released to create its own objects , shapes and textures. Given the fact of retinal inertia and the flickering shutter mechanism of film projection, one may generate virtual forms, create actual motion (rather than illustrate it), build actual color-space (rather than picture it), and be involved in actual time (immediate presence).”
